Domino’s Pizza, Inc. is an American multinational pizza delivery corporation headquartered in Domino’s Farms, Michigan, United States. It is the largest pizza chain in the world by number of franchised stores, as of 2023, with over 17,200 franchised and 600 company-owned stores in over 90 countries.

Domino’s was founded in 1960 by Tom Monaghan and his brother James Monaghan. The two brothers purchased a small pizzeria in Ypsilanti, Michigan, called Domino’s Pizza. The company quickly expanded, and by the 1970s, Domino’s had become a national chain.

In 1978, Tom Monaghan introduced a new delivery guarantee: “Fresh, Hot Pizza in 30 Minutes or It’s Free.” This guarantee helped to revolutionize the pizza delivery industry and made Domino’s the world’s leading pizza chain.

Domino’s has been a pioneer in the use of technology. In 1995, the company became the first pizza chain to offer online ordering. In 2007, Domino’s introduced its Pizza Tracker, which allows customers to track the progress of their pizza from order to delivery.

Domino’s has also been a leader in the development of new pizza products. In 1985, the company introduced its first specialty pizza, the Crunchy Crust. In 2009, Domino’s introduced its Handmade Pan pizza, which was a major departure from the company’s traditional thin crust pizza.
